Music Ministry

Choir members and instrumentalists share their talent to musically enhance the Liturgy.
We are committed to their role to promote full, conscious, and active participation of
the entire assembly at Liturgy. Opportunities to participate are available for adults, teens,
and children. No formal audition is required and no prerequisite for reading music, but
must be able to carry a tune and be willing to grow musically. Prior experience is helpful,
but not required.

Instrumentalists
Those blessed with the gift of being able to play an instrument are welcome to share their talents
with our community. Piano, guitar, bass, drums, flute, oboe, violin, trumpet… to name a few are always
needed; sometimes seasonally and sometimes on a more regular basis. A simple audition may be requested.

Adult Choir
Adults rehearse on selected Thursday evenings at 7:00 o'clock.  Each choir member
attends his/her Mass of choice, and in this way we are able to provide Music for all
weekend liturgies.  We have an ongoing need for additional members in order to fulfill
this mission. Please introduce yourself to us so that we can offer you more information on how
you can become part of this wonderful ministry.

Teen Choir for Christmas
Students from ages 14 through 18 public, private or home schooled.  Annual registration
required.  Rehearsal times set by consensus with the group, but can occur after the
11:00 a.m. Sunday Mass, or on a week night depending on availability.

Singing Angels Choir for Christmas
Children ages 6 to 13.  Public or private or home schooled.  Annual registration
required.  Rehearsal times are 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. on selected Monday nights
throughout the school year.

In order to comply with Diocesan Child Protection regulations, which require
that more than one adult must be present when working with ages under 18,
I will need a parent(s) to stay in the church through the practice.
