Women's Welcome: April 17-18

Welcome (formerly Christ Renews His Parish -CRHP) is a spiritual renewal weekend designed to help individuals grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and with others in their faith community. Welcome is a process designed to bring members of a parish together in Christ.

“The community of believers was of one heart and mind, ...With great power, the apostles bore witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great favor was accorded them all.” Acts 4:32-33
 
For 2000 years communities of Christian believers have been witnessing to Jesus Christ. These communities have been persecuted, mistreated, abused, and many have offered their very lives all for the faith of those who would believe you and me.  Communities have been beaten and battered but have kept the faith alive by trusting in God and encouraging each other in their faith.

The Welcome process is just one way to stop our busy lives, see past the pains and lies, and know God, not just experience Him.
 
So in the words of our Savior we too, invite you,  “Come and you will see”, Jn 1:39.

• Being a Catholic means our life has a mission. It means striving every day to become more like Jesus in our thoughts and actions and to live fully in the presence of our God who is love.  Christ Renews His Parish at St. Francis de Sales Church has provided me with the opportunity to confront this challenge through and with the community on a shared journey of learning how to be a more faithful follower of Christ. ~ Julie Mitchell
